![]() ![]() At the end, we agreed to write a feedback at /feedbackġ. I argued with her about the advertising and Keynote (more about that below), she looked don't-know-what-to-do and the best she could say was "There is always risk". I'm aware by IP67 rating - it should withstand shower. She repeatedly stated that 7 (Plus) are water resistant, not water proof. She immediately quoted $349+tax for a replacement (I haven't gotten Care+). Then she checked the SIM tray and confirmed water damage. She ran diagnostic and confirmed that the display is problematic. I met with the Genius girl (she was nice) and I explained like above. I immediately made an appt with Genius Bar. Hours after that, the bottom left corner turned into faint yellow. This means no feedback for home "button" press. About 3 hours after I took shower, the haptic/taptic/vibrator stopped working. Never open the SIM tray - the last person was Apple sales guy at the store when I got it.Įverything worked great until last Wednesday (10/05). I always pat my iPhone with towel after shower. Case is removed everytime the iPhone contacts water. ![]() No major damage, just minor usual usage wear. I never drop, swim, or do crazy YouTube things with my iPhone. I frequently take it with me under shower to listen to music. I bought an iPhone 7 Plus (09/24) from local Apple store. Will get updated for any response from Apple. Also, this is the first time I feel disappointed by Apple. ![]() I decided to create an account to write this post, as I want to be transparent about my issue with iPhone 7 (Plus) water resistance. I have been a daily reader of MacRumors for a long time. ![]()
